hour period beginning at midnight on Wednesday, May 4th, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department
responded to 201 incidents (daily average is 220).

Motor Vehicle Collision Deale
Four people were injured in an early morning auto accident
on Solomons Island Road in Deale. Just before 1:00 a.m. firefighters responded
to the area of Solomons Island Road and Old Solomons Island Road for an auto
accident. Arriving firefighters located a single vehicle accident during which
the vehicle had left the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its roof
approximately 30 feet from the road. Two passengers had been able to remove
themselves from the vehicle. However, the
driver and driver side rear seat passenger were both trapped. Both of the trapped patients were extricated by
firefighters in about 25 minutes. Helicopters were not available due to
weather conditions. Therefore, paramedics
transported the 25-year-old female driver and the 24-year old male driver side
rear seat passenger to the Trauma Center at Prince George’s Hospital Center
with injuries that were serious but not believed life-threatening. The
24-year-old male front seat passenger and 26-year-old male passenger side rear
seat passenger were both transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital with minor
injuries.
