Daily Media Briefing June 8, 2016

(Millersville, MD) For the 24 hour period beginning at midnight on Tuesday, June 7th, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded to 280 incidents (daily average is 220).

Incidents of Media Interest Tuesday, June 7th:

Injured Person                                              Lothian


One person was transported to Shock Trauma after falling off a horse in Lothian Tuesday afternoon. Just after 1:30 p.m. firefighters responded to the 6000 block of McKendree Road for an injured person. Arriving firefighters located a 60-year-old female patient who had fallen from her horse during a trail ride. A Maryland State Police helicopter was requested and landed in a field near the scene. The patient was transported to Shock Trauma by helicopter with injuries that were serious but not believed life-threatening.
